At the Boerma Instituut we always like to
help you on your way with some fun and new ideas. That’s why we have
organized a small but intimate Christmas market in the Boerma
Instituut, which means that our floral design school will be open from
the 8th till the 22nd
of December 2007,
from 12.00
till 18.00
in the evening.
In the classrooms you can come and watch
the Christmas demonstrations,
you will find ‘ready to go’ Christmas
arrangements (made by our teachers) to take home
with you, the materials that we use in our arrangements can also be
bought, so that you can make you own creation at home. Further more
there are some lovely
ideas for how you can set the table for your
Christmas dinner, done by
Annemieke’s Kramerie from Aalsmeer.
And if that wasn’t enough, in our book shop you can find over a 120
different flower arranging books and colourful
(professional) magazines, plus all the necessary aiding materials.
To make a long story short, you will find
a lot of articles you won’t find anywhere else, but then again, we
are an internationally well known ‘Floral Design School’ and not
your average garden centre, even though we do have a couple of garden
centres in ‘our back yard’. With us you’ll find all your
Christmas wishes can come true!

Of course you will
find that in our school café, ‘Café de
Mijnen’, besides the south Holland accent and the famous
hospitality (which the people from that part of the country are well
known for), we also have devilishly good Gluhwein
(German hot wine), celestial hot chocolate
with… (you can fill in the blanks your self), heavenly raison bread
(Dutch tradition), divine Christmas bubbly
and last but not least, delicious winter soup!
Naturally
the entrance and demonstrations are free
of charge.
