For over 25 years the Boerma Instituut has organized national and international floral design courses. It is one of they few, if not the only school where you can learn professional and the practical skills of  Dutch Floral design. Here you can truly learn all there is to know about the ‘tricks of the trade’, this is something that is regarded very high in all our courses.

We can offer company’s, organisations and society’s, who all have their own special wishes, ‘custom made’ lesson programmes.
These practical lessons can be given at the Boerma Instituut in Aalsmeer, where we have access to all the necessary materials, but we can also go to other locations, abroad or in Holland.
Whether were talking about a product presentation, a day to relax and have fun for your employees or relations, a demonstration or a professional training: everything is possible !!

Just say when, how, with what, where and what fore a training is wanted, for every level of expertise there is bound to be a ‘floral solution’ to be found. 

Whether were talking about a hand tied bouquet, a Biedermeier arrangement, a decorative wreath, a  Christmas or exclusive arrangement. 

And all of this within a period and a group-size that you desire, from half a day till, for example, five or more days. If you book a day- or a complete course, an extensive lunch-buffet is included in the course fee, served by José and Regina in our comfortable bar ‘Café de Mijnen’.

Especially for Organised Groups we can offer:

Half day course from 10.00-12.30  or from 13.15-15.45.

During this course we teach the participants how to make the famous
Dutch Handtied Bouquet.

All materials, coffee and tea are included in the course fee.

Lunch (not included) can also be arranged for the group.

1-day course from 10.00-15.45.

During this course we teach the participants how to make the famous
Dutch Handtied Bouquet  
and a Dutch Garden Style Arrangement as well.

All materials, coffee or tea and lunch are included in the course fee.

We advise:

Day 1

• Care of cut flowers,
• technique and use of wire,
• hand tied bouquet
• Biedermeier arrangement on Oasis®.

Day 2

• Tear drop bridal Bouquet on Oasis®.

Day 3

• Vase; Linear style 
• table decoration; Dutch garden style.

The course schedule can be tailor made up to the student's level in floral design.

Included in the Course fee with a minimum of 3 days:

ü   All flowers, leaves, tools and other materials;

ü   Information with photographs of the practical work, care and handling of cutflowers, etc;

ü   Coffee, tea and lunches inclusive soft drinks;

ü   Boerma Instituut Dutch Floral Design Certificate.
